A subsidiary of a blockchain application technology developer is moving forward with its acquisition bid for a Korean financial services firm that provides online brokerage services, initial public offerings, and other related services.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed for the equity purchase of Hong Kong-based Alpha International Securities, a subsidiary of Alpha Financial Limited, by Future FinTech Hong Kong Limited (FTFT HK), a fully owned subsidiary of Future FinTech Group Inc. (FTFT).

According to a news statement, FTFT HK will conduct due diligence on Alpha Securities and evaluate its financial situation before deciding on the terms of the transaction and the acquisition price. A deal is expected to be finished at the latest in early November.
