AvidXchange has made an application programming interface (API) connectivity for invoice-to-pay with Intuit QuickBooks Online accessible.

Customers of QuickBooks Online now have access to a completely automated, end-to-end, cloud-based accounts payable (AP) and payment system, according to a news release issued by AvidXchange on Tuesday, December 6.

AvidXchange Chief Growth Officer Dan Drees stated in the press release, “This is an exciting new integration for us, as well as the middle market as a whole, as we expand our capabilities across more established platforms.”

The new service, according to the press release, enables automated syncing of accounting codes, vendor data, invoices, and payments, saving clients the time they would otherwise spend manually managing these AP chores.

According to the release, the solution also provides more insight and transparency into payment data so that customers can learn from each transaction because it allows the AP process to be carried out through a cloud-based platform.

According to the statement, the solution also reduces the need for consumers to buy envelopes, stamps, and paper checks, as well as make trips to the bank, by allowing digital payments to suppliers.

AvidXchange released API integration with Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, a cloud-based accounting system focused toward the charity business, three months ago.

According to a study, nine out of ten chief financial officers (CFOs) reported that their companies were either investing in payments digitization now or planned to do so in the future.
