B2B exchanges Fintech company Bottomline has increased its capabilities by acquiring procure-to-pay platform Nexus Systems, allowing it to operate in the real estate market.
According to a news release, Nexus Systems provides software for the real estate and property management sectors that automate payments and accounts payable (AP). With this acquisition, its customers and suppliers will be able to use Bottomline’s Paymode-X B2B payments network, which is now used by 500,000 businesses.
We are on a mission to encourage better business payments for companies and financial institutions throughout the world, says Bottomline CEO Craig Saks in the news release.
“We continue to invest aggressively in a top-tier platform for companies to pay and be paid digitally as Nexus combines its industry-leading skills and capabilities in commercial real estate with its knowledge, size, and distribution strength.
Purchasing, purchase order approval, invoicing automation, and task pricing features are all included in the Nexus Systems application, according to a news release.
According to the statement, the partnership will give Nexus Systems clients who sign up for the Paymode-X network immediate access to Bottomline’s Premium ACH and other features as well as the opportunity to pay the 500,000 suppliers on the Paymode-X network.
“Our teams are like-minded builders who take responsibility for the success of our clients,” explains one of them. With a single system, Paymode-X and Nexus Systems “want to automate the whole real estate and property management AP process.”
