Vinted, a Lithuanian online marketplace for buying, selling, and exchanging new or used things, has introduced Vinted Go, a business-to-business digital shipping platform. The new platform combines and optimizes third-party carrier infrastructure for Vinted’s marketplace as well as prospective commercial clients.

According to an email from the corporation, the new service is accessible for domestic and cross-border delivery throughout Europe. It focuses on PUDO (pick-up, drop-off) as a delivery alternative with lower carbon emissions than in-home delivery, and will provide consumers access to an ever-expanding network of national and international shipping carriers in 14 countries, with a total of 220,000 PUDO stations.

This platform builds on Vinted’s experience in assisting Vinted Marketplace users to ship parcels to one another. Vinted Go and its partners handle over 200 million packages each year, a figure that is expected to rise as the company expands its offering to commercial clients.

The shipping service will provide a regular delivery time of 2-3 working days for local deliveries and 3-5 working days for international deliveries. The service will be especially useful for businesses delivering small-to-medium-sized items and consumer goods, such as clothing or household goods, sports or hobby equipment, or even home office supplies.

Vinted Go has a solid pipeline of prospective new clients in Spain, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Benelux, and Germany who want to increase their PUDO delivery.

“We are thrilled to announce the debut of our new digital shipping platform,” said Vytautas Atkoaitis, Vice President of Vinted Go. As a company, we strive to provide our clients with the greatest shipping experience possible. Through our network of carriers and delivery partners, our team is uniting the fragmented shipping infrastructure, and our new solution provides a more economical and easy delivery choice. As a digital company, our objective is to make international e-commerce as simple as possible, and today represents a significant step toward that goal.”

How does it work?

The offering is a one-of-a-kind mix of Vinted Go’s technology, IT, and operational infrastructure, allowing enterprises to “plug in” to Vinted’s multi-carrier network via a simple integration procedure. It eliminates the need to sign many individual agreements with carriers, resulting in a more affordable and easy delivery option.
